We kick this week’s show off by visiting with YETI Cooler’s Ben O’Brien. Having worked for the NRA prior to YETI, Ben offers a different take than most on the YETI/NRA public dust up that occurred recently. It was a bad look for the hunting/2nd Amendment community and we discuss why. Then, we hit on Grip and Grin trophy photos. You know, the one where the hunter poses proudly behind a dead buck, strap of ducks, turkey or otherwise.

Is the Grip and Grin giving the opposition fuel in their fight to snuff out hunting altogether? I’m not sure, but it’s worth discussing. Personally, I am all smiles after a successful hunt and I don’t hide it. But some folks are starting to lean the other way, interesting topic no doubt.

Then we dive into big Midwest public land bucks with Accubow founder and CEO Matt Pell. Matt has been bowhunting big tracts of Illinois public land since his boyhood years and he isn’t shy about naming some great places to try and arrow a Midwestern bruiser. Of course we also get into the new interactive archery app that Accubow recenlty released, the first of it’s kind. Stay tuned for an awesome giveaway in the coming weeks!
