We start off by chasing Eastern Greater Kudu with longtime PH Ross ‘Stix’ Hoole of John X Safaris. Perhaps the most sought after trophy of all of Africa’s spiral horns, the Kudu is as majestic as they come. Stix talks about the terrain we will hunt this animal in, plus he gives us his thoughts on caliber and bullet selection for hunting some of Africa’s medium big game. (Keep in mind at 660 lbs a Kudu is a medium sized African animal)
Next, we’re joined by longtime vintage weapon dealer Ed Raye. We discuss the FP Liberator .45 Single Shot pistol that General Motors manufactured for the U.S. Army in 1942. It was designed to be dropped behind occupied Europe but the plan never really came to fruition.
Then, it’s the P’s and Q’s of 1’s and 2’s on the water with our old friend and 2014 Bassmaster Elite Series Angler of the Year Greg Hackney. We caught up with Greg a couple weeks ago at the Bassmaster Classic on Lake Conroe, TX and he gave us the do’s and don’ts of bathroom protocol while out fishing a tournament. We appreciate him being a good sport!
We wrap up the show with 6 Spring Turkey Tips that I have learned over the years.
