Texas Parks and Wildlife Whitetail Deer Program Leader Alan Cain makes his return to the show. After a personal experience with a mature (but illegal to harvest) buck on my deer lease outside of Wichita Falls, TX I figured it was time to discuss these “Loophole Bucks” that will never be harvested due to Antler Restrictions. Why can’t a hunter send in a photo of this type of deer ( clearly one that we want out of the gene pool) and get special permission from the Game Warden or regional biologist? Alan gives us the ins and outs on the entire system. Plus, we take a look at Antler Restrictions history and whether or not they are working as intended across board.
Then our old friend Ryan Alspach of Warrior Fuel Supplements jumps back on the show. We talk back country mule deer and the hellacious season that was 2018 for Ryan. We also take a look at some of the things we should be doing as we age, both in the gym and at home. Hunting is a way of life for many of us and I generally go to the gym so that I can hack it in the mountains or in the woods. But the older I get, the more difficult taking care of my body becomes. Ryan also has some pointed things to say about the fitness industry and social media in general. Interesting stuff to say the least.
