It’s well documented that the “Trump Slump” of ’17, ’18, and 2019 is a thing of the past when it comes to firearm sales. A good old fashioned global pandemic combined with our country’s recent lawless nature in major metropolitan areas has created a firearm boom in sales like we’ve never seen. Mossberg’s Linda Powell joins the conversation this week to discuss if guns are still flying off shelves at a record rate. Also, what are her thoughts on the Biden/Harris campaign’s comments concerning a possible gun buy back? Then we also get into a new semi auto loading platform that Mossberg will release in 2021! The 940 will be replacing the classic 930 platform Mossberg has used for years. What are the advantages of the 940? Linda breaks it down.
(Shooting legend Jerry Miculek giving the competition model 940 a run through. The hunting versions of the 940 will be out this spring)
Then we spend a significant amount of time dissecting the pre rut with longtime whitetail writer, producer and TV show host Bill Winke of Midwest Whitetail. Most whitetail hunters will tell you early to mid October is a tough time to kill a mature buck, does Bill agree? What about the “October Lull”, is that really a thing? We talk ground/pop blinds, early season calling tactics, how much pressure will a mature buck tolerate and much more with Bill. He is one of the most knowledgeable whitetail hunters I’ve found in nearly a dozen years in this industry.
